GRANTS IN THE WORKS!

  1. LWRP (Local Waterfront Revitalization Program)
    • Status: Just Starting
    • Completion Timeline: Five (5) years
    • Overview: A State and Federally recognized planning grant to guide long-term waterfront and community development.
  2. EPG for I & I (Engineering Planning Grant for Inflow & Infiltration)
    • Status: Nearing completion (within a few months)
    • Overview: To assess and address sewer system issues and position the Village for future infrastructure funding.
  3. NYMS Technical Assistance rant (New York Main Street)
    • Status: In progress (1-year completion)
    • Overview: Provide building owners with feasibility studies to support a future NY Forward grant application.
  4. CDBG Water Asset Management Study (Community Development Block Grant)
    • Status: In progress (1-year completion)
    • Overview: To prioritize repairs and develop a strategic plan for the Village's water system infrastructure.
  5. ZEV EV Charger Grant
    • Status: In application
    • Overview: Installation of an electric vehicle charging station at Harbor Park (near Federal Pier) to support sustainability and tourism.

2025 GRANT PLAN

  1. Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan
    • A full-village planning initiative to support smart, sustainable, and economically vibrant development.
  2. Martin Park Funding
    • Application to fund park upgrades, including the splash pad, bathroom facilities, and a pickleball court, as part of the long-term parks improvement plan.
  3. EPG for Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
    • Planning grant application to assess the current condition of the WWTP and identify necessary upgrades to meet future regulatory and capacity needs.
